    SCHEMES AND YOJNAS BY MODI GOVERMENTS: DETAILS

                                                                     


    Narendra Modi, parliamentary leader of the Bhartiy Janata Party started his tenure after his swearing-in as the 15th Prime Minister of India on 26 May 2014.

    COMPLETE LIST OF SCHEMES LAUNCHED BY GOVERNMENT OF INDIA

    1. Digital India:
    The gov of India launched digital India with the vision to transform India into digitally empowered society ,launched in aug 2014,& scheme was introduced on 1st July 2015 for one week so this is also known as a “Digital India Week”. & would complete by 2019. Government aims to target nine 'Pillars of Digital India' that they identify as being: 
    • Broadband Highways
    • Universal Access to Mobile Connectivity
    • Public Internet Access Programme
    • e-Governance – Reforming Government through Technology
    • eKranti - Electronic delivery of services
    • Information for All
    • Electronics Manufacturing
    • IT for Jobs
    • Early Harvest Programmes
    2. Smart City Mission:- 
    This project was released on 29th April 2015, Modi government declared the names of 98 cities selected for the 'Smart City Project'. This is a flagship project which was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi after his government was sworn into power last year.

    PM Modi's Union Cabinet announced the approval of Rs 48,000 crore that will be allocated to the Smart Cities Project.
    The Union Development Ministry said that they will provide Rs 100 crore per city per year over the next five years.
    3. Make in India:- 
    It was unveiled by PM Narendra Modi on 25 September 2014 so that International, as well as domestic, companies manufacture their products in India. In this scheme there are 25 different sectors are involved such as a tourism and hospitality, renewable energy, Information Technology, Automobiles and many more.
    Basic objective of make in India is:
    • To promote India into a manufacture hub
    • Economic transformation in India
    • To eliminate unnecessary laws and regulation

    4. Skill India Mission:-
    Skill India is effort of Govt of India, It was announced on 16th July 2015. This scheme goal to train more than 40 crore citizen of India in different skills by 2022.

    5. Gold Monetization Scheme:-
    Gold Monetization Scheme was announced by Mr. Arun Jaitley, Union Finance Minister of India. This scheme encourages the customers of gold to gain interest on their metal accounts. This scheme is introduce during Budget 2015-16. Scheme proposes
    • Mobilization of Gold help by Indian institution and households
    • Making the preserved gold to jewelers and banking institution
    • Reduction of India’s gold imports by mobilization of existing gold
    • improvements of market liquidity

    6. Atal Pension Yojana:-
    Atal Pension Yojana was launched by PM Modi on 9th May 2015 in Kolkata. This pension scheme aims to provide monthly pensions to citizen of India from 60 years of age. This scheme was formerly declared in 2015 Budget speech by Arun Jaitley in February 2015. 
    • The main focus of this scheme for Indian citizen who are working for unorganized sector. 
    • This scheme is available to people between 18-40 years of age
    • Depending upon the contribution the beneficiary will get guaranteed pension of Rs 1000 to 5000 per month
    • Govt will contribute 50 % of total contribution whichever a lower

    7. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY):-
    This Scheme was announced by NDA Govt to supply 24/7 power to rural areas. This project is named in respect of Native Indian political philosopher Deen Dayal Upadhyaya. Modi Govt plans to invest Rs. 75600 Crore for rural electrification. The key people of this project is Piyush Goyal
    • This scheme will replace the existing Rajeev Gandhi Grameen Vidyueekaran Yojana

    8. Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana:-
    Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana is an accident insurance scheme in India. This scheme and Atal Pension Yojana was launched on same date and same person. 
    • This scheme will be open for people between 18-70 years of age with bank account. 
    • This Yojana is launched to increase the number of insurance policy. 
    • In this insurance scheme person have to pay Rs 12 as annual premium excluding service tax and person will be get Rs 2 lakh for accidental death & 1 lakh for partial disability

    9. Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana:-
    This is also Insurance scheme which was launched on same date as Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana. This insurance is applicable to people between 18-50 years of age with bank account. 
    In this scheme person have to pay 300Rs. annual premium excluding service tax. Amount of this policy automatically deposit from the account. If insurance holder died due to any reason, nominee will get 2 lakh payment.

    10. Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT):
    AMRUT was unveiled By Prime Minister Modi in 24 June 2015 with the focus of the urbanization in India. This is scheme earlier know as a JNNURM (Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission). This scheme purpose is to provide water supply, sewerage facilities, public transport, water drains and create more public amenities

    11. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY):-
    This scheme is launched on dated June 25, 2015. Purpose of PMAY is to provide housing to provide better living. AMRUT and PMAY aim is almost similar.

    12. HRIDAY:-
    Hriday full form is National Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana. This project was introduced on dated 21st January. Main focus of this project is holistic development of heritage cities. Time duration is 27 months (Approx. March 2017) and total budget of this project is Rs 500 Crore

    13. Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana:-
    This Scheme was unveiled by PM Narendra Modi on dated 22nd January 2015. This campaign main focus to encourage parents to build a fund for the future education and marriage expenses for their children.

    14. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan:-
    This campaign was officially launched on 2nd October 2014 (Birth date of Mahatma Gandhi). This is a national campaign by the Government of India. PM Modi said that the best funeral to Mahatma Gandhi would be to obtain a “Clean India” by 2019, his 150th beginning birthday.

    15. Kisan Vikas Patra:-
    This campaign was already released in 1988 by India Post department, in this scheme customer get saving certificate. This scheme was relaunched in 2014. The amount invested will double in 100 months

    16. Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana:
    PMJDY IS ensuring access all financial services like availability of basic saving bank account, access to need basic credits, remittances facility, insurance and pensions to excluding sections, benefits of the scheme: launched 28 Aug 2014

    • Accidental insurance cover of 1 lakh
    • No minimum balance required
    • Life insurance cover of 30000
    • overdraft facility after 6 month

    34. Soil health card scheme:
    Soil Health Card Scheme is a scheme launched by the Government of India in February 2015. Under the scheme, the government plans to issue soil cards to farmers which will carry crop-wise recommendations of nutrients and fertilizers required for the individual farms to help farmers to improve productivity through judicious use of inputs. All soil samples are to be tested in various soil testing labs across the country. Thereafter the experts will analyses the strength and weaknesses (micro-nutrients deficiency) of the soil and suggest measures to deal with it. The result and suggestion will be displayed in the cards. The government plans to issue the cards to 14 crore farmers

    35. Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana:
    1. Prevent gender biased sex selective elimination 
    2. Ensure survival & protection of the girl child 
    3. Ensure education of the girl child

    36. INDRADHANUSHA:
    Mission Indradhanush was launched by Union Health Minister J.P Nadda on December 25, 2014. It aims to immunize all children against seven vaccine preventable diseases namely diphtheria, whooping cough (Pertussis), tetanus, polio, tuberculosis, measles and hepatitis B by 2020.

    It is Govt of India youth employment Yojana launched on 25 Sep 2014

    41: MGPSY (Mahatma Gandhi Pravasi Suraksha Yojana):
    The objective of MGPSY is to encourage and enable the overseas Indian workers by giving government contribution to:
    Save for their Return and Resettlement (R&R)
    Save for their old age,
    Obtain a Life Insurance cover against natural death during the period of coverage.
    The government contribution available under the MGPSY is for a period of five years or till the return of subscribed worker back to India, whichever is earlier.
    42. UDAAN PROJECT:
    Udaan, the Special Industry Initiative (SII) for J&K is funded by Ministry of Home Affairs and implemented by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The programme is a part of the overall initiative for addressing economic issues in J&K.
